This is one of the longer newsletters that I’ve sent in a while! So here are the highlights:
- AWA Press is proud to launch We’ve Been Put Through Fire & Come Out Divine: Stories of Hope & Survival, an anthology from survivors of sexual violence edited by Mary Simmerling, Ph.D., in partnership with RAINN. Thanks to those of your who celebrated with us at the launch event on January 29!
- Our next online writing session is Sunday, February 25 from 1–3pm Eastern, facilitated by Holly Holt. Register here!
- If you want to become an AWA-certified facilitator, please note the deadline to apply for financial assistance to attend any AWA training in 2024 is February 29. We are considering all requests at once this year to ensure fairness. You can learn more or apply on our website.
- A Launchpad group for AWA-trained leaders looking to boost your facilitation practice is starting up February 2nd, 1–3:30pm Eastern. We’re also collecting prompts for our annual Emergency Prompt gift for all Affiliates and promoting a new, free offering on February 24th, 1–3pm Eastern: Ask Me Anything AWA, a live Zoom meeting with Maureen Buchanan Jones and AWA Board Members.
As always, there are tons of great AWA groups being offered by Affiliates in February and beyond! Please browse those options below and on our Event Calendar.
