AWA Leadership is learned by experiencing elements of the method in a simulated workshop environment, experimental writing sessions, talks by experienced leaders, group discussion, role playing, film, and guest speakers to give participants a full experience of the AWA method as it is actually used.
Upon completion of the training, participants will have a thorough understanding of the AWA method, AWA practices and guidelines, and will be able to convey these effectively to their workshop members.

Training days are full days. The first day begins at 11:00 a.m., and the last day ends no later than 2:00 p.m. Each day consists of three sessions: morning, afternoon and evening. Morning sessions begin at 9:00 a.m.; afternoon sessions at 1:00 p.m. The evening sessions end at 8:30 p.m. The schedule allows for intermittent breaks, with two longer breaks on the third and fourth day. We recognize that the schedule is full, but to include time for relaxation would mean adding an additional training day. Our goal is to deliver the training information in a timely manner to keep costs down, and reduce the time trainees must take out of their busy lives.
